Billie nodded at Julie. "Wow. Thanks." She smiled back at her and opened the bag.

Julie made a note of the two creams and sugars Billie added to the steaming liquid. For reference.

"Say, you didn't spend our profits on this, did you?" Billie looked at Julie with a bit of a glimmer in her eye.

"No, of course not, I took it out of petty cash."

"We have petty cash?"

Julie smiled. "All our cash is petty."

Billie laughed at that.

"So, did you have a good day?" Billie didn't answer but she had a smile of her own as Julie hit the 'total' button on the register. It began to run the store receipts from its memory, the white paper stuttering out of the printer as the numbers were tallied. She tore off the protruding strip and perused it.
